FRESNO
Located in eastern Fort Bend County, Fresno got its name from a settler who came from Fresno, California. On land once surrounded by cotton plantations, Fresno is now a conglomerate of communities.
Fort Bend County operates the Mustang Community Center in Fresno. The 5-acre (20,000 m2) community center includes one baseball field, benches, one meeting room, two pavilions, one play area, tables, and one walking trail.
Fresno is a thriving city; the population of over 7,000 is filled with friendly people and a variety of activities. Downtown Fresno offers a bustling shopping district with restaurants and boutique stores while parks and trails provide outdoor opportunities. The city also has multiple public events such as their annual rodeo or the community's 4th of July celebration. With plenty to do and an unbeatable atmosphere, Fresno is an amazing place to live.
Education is highly regarded here where the school district encompasses five campuses ranging from elementary schools to a high school. School age children in Fresno attend schools in the Fort Bend Independent School District.
