Tips on Designing the Perfect Thanksgiving Tablescape

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and the last thing you want to be worrying about is how to set your table. Our design team at Partners in Building recently set up a Thanksgiving décor spread, and we are here to give you all the details!

Inside of our Fulshear Run model home, the dining space is the main focal point of the home, allowing smooth room transitions throughout the entire first floor. When decorating this table, we knew we wanted to keep it light and bright to match the rest of the home. Our award-winning design center team used neutral colors and a mix of textures to create a Thanksgiving spread all your guests will adore. A color palette of light greens, whites, and earth tones were mixed to ensure a calm and collected environment. It’s important to mix patterns to create an eye-catching visual landscape. When designing a perfect Thanksgiving table, start with a textured placemat, layer on a dinner plate, and salad plate with a linen napkin. Check out how our design team mixed tones of wood, braided natural placemats, hints of gold and colorful plates on our dining spread.

We focused on having different heights of candles on the table, a simple, yet inexpensive décor piece that makes a statement.

It’s important to not overcomplicate the table, we want to leave room for the delicious food you’ll be serving! Fall elements like leaves, flowers or small pumpkins and simple table décor will create a timeless look. When you build a custom home with Partners in Building, you have the choice of top-of-the-line appliances to help make the holiday cooking and baking easier. Another neat design choice our team made was adding a hanging pendant with varying lengths over the kitchen island. Unique light fixtures in the kitchen are poised to make a statement and can add style to your home. When creating a luxurious space like our Fulshear Run kitchen, the design team chose to have 3 different colors of kitchen cabinets, a waterfall countertop on the kitchen island and a stacked stone backsplash.

Making the decision to build your own custom home is a big one, but it is just the first step. There are a thousand things running through your mind. What fixtures in the master bathroom? What cabinets in the kitchen? Tile or wood in the entry? The longer you think about it, the longer the list gets. Our Custom Design Centers in Texas and Tennessee are unique. During the building process, you will meet with our professional design team to assist you with selecting your interior finishes, all in one place.
