Partners in Building is pleased to announce their support of the
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Several employees of
Partners in Building have been involved in the charity in recent years
because of family members who suffer from type 1 (Juvenile) Diabetes,
so Partners in Building is now happy to be participating to help this
worthy cause.
“We believe it’s important to support members of the Partners in
Building team in both their personal and professional lives,” said
Elizabeth Phillips, Director of Marketing. “This is a wonderful
opportunity to help a cause that is important to many of our employees,
and we’re proud to help.”
Partners in Building will work to raise $10,000 for JDRF, and recently
participated in The Walk to Cure Diabetes held at Reliant Park. Having
already raised $8,300, they are well on their way to achieving their
goal.
“We had a really great team walking, and it was a great experience,”
said Phillips. “We’re looking forward to getting even more people
involved next year.”
Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes strikes children suddenly, makes them
dependent on insulin for life, and it can affect adults as well. The
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International is the leading
charitable funder and advocate of type 1 diabetes research worldwide.
The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for
diabetes and its complications through the support of research.
